Ideal Governance

   IDEAL GOVERNANCE

Governance as the word suggests means the art of governing. So we often wonder what is governance and what is its utility in our modern life. The modern office goers reply in their casual manner by stating that politics has nothing to do with their routine lives. But as the young citizens of “Incredible India” we have a moral responsibility towards thinking about politics and governance.

In India the youth often feels that they have not much to do with or about politics. For some youngsters the election day is yet another day that adds to the already long list of holidays. But as responsible citizens we must understand our duties towards our motherland.

So let us see what is ideal governance?

Many say governance is when the pockets of the common man are filled with enough money for buying essential things. Others believe that governance is providing sops (populism) to the common man to please him before the elections. While many others believe that governance has happened when the standard of living of the common man has improved.

In this blog i will throw light on four factors that I feel are important parameters for ascertaining the quality of governance.

Safety and Security (Law and Order):

This is a very important parameter used in ascertaining the quality of governance. What a common man wants from the government? He wants safety and protection from anti social elements whom he encounters almost every day in his life. Law and order is a hotly debated topic among political parties and many parties raise this issue before elections to garner votes.

But it is a pity that only few of them handle the law and order department with an iron hand. I belive that a government’s governance is ideal when:

Common man feels safe and is unafraid of anti social elements.

Common man has a strong belief in the government, police and the judiciary that they will not fail him when he requires them the most.

When a common man feels that he can fearlessly lodge a complaint against the wrongdoer and get him punished without any money and muscle power blocking the way of justice.

SOME IMPORTANT POINTS:

“The safety of women has of late been a frequently debated topic in India’s social circles. It is the prime duty of any government to ensure safety and security to women against anti social elements. A woman has equal rights as that of men and the government should facilitate the high flying women in their flight.”

“India worships women power as SHAKTI. “

“True and ideal governance will be achieved when Each and Every woman of India has unfaltering faith in police, law, justice and government.”

Education:

Educated Electorate holds the key to an honest and stable government.

Ideal governance is when the government becomes a facilitator of education process not an interferer. Education must be kept away from politics and it is the prime duty of a government.

If a government ensures a good, quality and value based education system to its people then it is fast moving on path of ideal governance.

Governance is ideal when:

Government ensures free and quality education to the children of poor people.

Skills and innovation based education to the most needy.

It provides such education to its people so as to make them ready for immediate employment.

Abolishes cramming from education system and inculcates understanding among the students.

Fills up teaching vacancies urgently and fills them with the most deserving and eligible candidates.

“We have observed for sometime now that some so called custodians of culture are trying to wrest control of textbooks and mould history according to their whims. Ideal governance must not allow it to happen.”

“We can’t let our education system lose its essence”

“ An ideal governance in education is said to happen when India regains its lost glory of Nalanda. Ideal governance is a means of India realizing that dream one day.”

Employment Generation:

In India employment generation remains a major issue. Our population is growing at a faster rate than what we can sustain.

The government should ensure employment to all the employable people.

The people who are unemployed and unskilled should be equipped with skill to make them readily employable.

More stress should be laid on agriculture as a means of generating employment.

More employment generating industries should be set up rather than capital heavy industries.

Schemes should be developed by government for providing mass employment.

Stress should be laid by government to produce more white collar jobs.

“Employment is a lamp that when burns in the home of the poor man eliminates the darkness of Illiteracy. This lamp then shows the road ahead for his family and his next generations.”

“Employment is the biggest weapon used in the fight against poverty.”

“A Government generating employment gets the blessing of the most deprived sections of society.”

Eliminating Poverty:

“A citizen can be born as poor but he must not die as one should be the motto of government.”

“Poverty can be eliminated by providing proper education and employment to the people.”

“Welfare politics must not be adopted but should be effectively substituted with development oriented governance.”

“Poverty should be eliminated with the help of the weapon named development.”

At the end:

“Governance is not just about populism but it is ABOUT WIPING OFF THE TEAR OFF EVERY COMMON MAN’S EYES.”

“Governance is not just about electoral politics but it is about a CORRUPTION FREE, POVERTY FREE, and ILLITERACY FREE INDIA.”

“Governance is not just about identity politics but it is about REESTABLISHING INDIA’S IDENTITY AS VISHWAGURU ALONGWITH BRINGING SMILES ON FACE OF EVERY POOR.”

“GOVERNANCE IS WHEN THE POOR HAS A FEELING FROM HIS INNER SELF THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS COMMITTED FOR HIS UPLIFTMENT.”

“TRUE GOVERNANCE HAPPENS WHEN EVERY SECTION OF SOCIETY IRRESPECTIVE OF CASTE, CREED, RELIGION AND COLOR EXPERIENCES POSITIVE EFFECTS IN THEIR DAILY LIFE.”
